Professional Experience
Support Rooted in Real-World Experience
Ava began building Nourish by Ava while completing her nutrition education and training, combining mentorship from experienced registered dietitians, hands-on learning, and extensive self-education as she navigated the early stages of private practice.

Throughout the process of developing a specialized practice focused on prenatal nutrition and breastfeeding support, she gained firsthand experience in branding, website creation, systems, client experience, scheduling platforms, organization, and building a modern healthcare-focused business.

Alongside continuing to grow Nourish by Ava, Ava also spent valuable time working with GNC's corporate headquarters in nutrition research review, women’s wellness, and product formulation. During this time, Ava reviewed and evaluated human clinical research related to dietary supplements, nutrition interventions, and women’s wellness while contributing to the development and formulation of dietary supplements. This experience strengthened her ability to apply evidence-based decision-making within the nutrition and wellness industry. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, she also gained valuable exposure to nutrition marketing, consumer wellness trends, product development, and broader business strategy. Together, these experiences further fueled her passion for women’s health, nutrition education, and building a thoughtful, approachable, and evidence-based healthcare brand.

Foundations combines practical topics, self-taught experience, professional guidance, and real-world lessons learned throughout the process of building a nutrition private practice from the ground up.
